Alternator problem
[16 December 2005]

Today took the car to my Uncle who is an auto electrician to get the alternator fixed. Should have it back soon. Ill finally be able to drive around now without the worry of the battery conking out

Fixed some loose ends
[2 January 2006]

Re-sprayed the wipers black today as they were faded badly. Also the driver's side window was getting scratched so I pulled apart the door and removed the culprit. Hopefully I can get the window fixed without having to replace it. While I was pulling things apart I decided to take to the vinyl that was pealing of where the window behind the passenger is.

It's damn hard to take off that plastic section. I should have removed the rear seat but I couldn't be bothered. Went down to the hardware store and picked up some contact adhesive which worked like a charm. It came up alright except for around the bends where the vinyl has shrunk and didn't fix 100%. It's not really noticeable now unless you look for it. Good enough for my first shot.

Is this the same car?
[28 December 2005]

Well finally after ages of having the car at the other house we drove it to our current residence after having a lot of trouble starting the bloody thing. Yep the alternator is stuffed so ill have to get that fixed ASAP. My uncle who is an auto-elec comes back to work on the 9th so ill take it to him around then.

Parked in the front yard now I decided to give it a detailed clean, head to tow. The amour all really made a difference inside, and the polish gave the exterior a beautiful shine. I didn't pay great detail to the exterior since its going to the panel beaters some time soon (when I get the money).
It’s really come up great. Its amazing what a wash can do to a car

Pod & Battery bracket intalled
[19 December 2005]

Well I was missing a bracket for my battery but thanks to Paul who has a spare one from his s14 the situation is now solved. While we were doing that we decided to do our first 'mod' and add on a pod filter. Parts once again came from Paul's s14. We slightly cracked the AFM but we made sure there is no leaking air, crisis averted. We also took out the crappy mesh inside the AFM! The only thing left is to make a bracket to secure the pod firmly and latter down the track ill make it into a CAI.

Arrival of the champion
[16 December 2005]

The car has arrived! Finally after months of saving for shipping the car has touchdown. It actually got into Australia from Japan a while ago but I had to wait for customs to clear it. It failed quarantine as expected which held it up unnecessarily. First impressions: "oh boy, lots of work here". Yep the car is very scruffy, needs a lot of boy work attention and a good clean but it doesn't bother me since I picked it up for so cheape. Lots of little things need to be done and a bit of money spent to get it into a mint condition butill still be way under the local price after its all done. It's almost like a project car.

Here are pictures of the car; they all have a slight green tinge to them as the carport at the new house (where it's being currently stored) has a green plastic roof.

Welcome
[10 January 2006]

The site finally goes online today after a lot of hours of work. You may see some entries that are pre 10th Jan, this is due to the fact i had them written down before the site was made so they are posted as an earlier date. There is only a few so i hope you not too confused. Just a note; this site can only be viewed in firefox at the present, ill look into the problems with Internet explorer users in a letter date. My suggestion is use firefox anyway. You can get it from firefox.com if you wish. Don’t get me started on how much better it is compared to Internet explorer.
